12th August - Info |
| New season starts today for the first team who
play Taghnevan Harps in our first ever game in Dision two. With
John Darragh Stepping down as manager, his second in command
Barrie Cochrane has stepped up to the plate as City go on a
quest for First Division football. This is City's fifth season
and we have spent 2 in each of the lower leagues, will Barrie
gain promotion in one?? no pressure, Can he join such City legends
as Michael Hogg and John Darragh only time will tell. Aaron
Dale takes over third team and they also start of their league
campaign in Portadown Park against LT United . Congratulations
to the Girls teams as senoirs finish 3rd and are in next months
Cup final and also to the U12 girls who are 2nd best in the
country after a narrow defeat to Sion Swifts in the NI Finals.
A big congrats to Mark who has work tirelessly. All the best
tomorrow lads. |

25th June - Info |
| Brilliant season fo CCFc with both senior teams
winning promotion with first team finishing Runners Up and th
reserves winning their league which was fantastic for Paul Darragh
who took over the reins from his brother John who took the firsts
to Division 2, John sadly stood down after promotion was assured
and nxt week we will be doing interviews for all managers. Well
done also to the U16s who won their league and a special well
done to the U12 Girls team who won their league also in their
first season. Preseason traing for the seniors starts next saturday
at Clonmeen and all new and old players are welcome to come
down and get that extra bit of fitness for the start of the
season. Unlucky to all the teams that didnt win anything this
season and best of luck to them all for next season as City
goes from Strength to strength. |

26th May - Info |
| Congratulations to City First team who won promotion
last niught after beating Rectory Rangers 2v1 on the last day
of the season. Two goals from Unlikely hero Ciaran Fleming help
City join Armagh Rovers in Division two next season. On the downside
it seen Club Record appearance holder Roy McGrath carried off
to Hospital with suspected ligament damage, good luck Roy and
get well soon and i am sure he will be at the prizegiving night
at Drumgor on the 10th June, Another sad one was John Darragh
stepping down and City would like to Thank John for steadying
the ship at christmas when Micheal Quit. John was our third
manager in our 4 years of existance and the club would like
to thank him for his efforts, the only other match this week
was the Ladies team who drew 4v4 at home to Dromara Village
on Tuesday night. |

21st May - Info |
| Congratulations to City Reserves as they got
the wins they needed to win the league on Goal difference to
Glenavy, Paul Darragh's team has been excellent this season
and City win their second league this season after the U16's
who won their league also.Squeaky bum time though for the first
team who didnt have a great performance on saturday at home
to Red Star losing 4v1. They play Rectory Rangers on Wednesday
night again at Lismore in which is the last game of the season
and one point is all they need to go up so hopefully the lads
can avoid defeat and taste promotion for the second time in
three seasons, good luck also to th ladies team who play Dromara
on Tuesday night and hopefully they can get their first home
win this seasonb as all their wins have been away. |

14th May - Info |
| So close but again we finished on the losing
side side in the Beckett Cup final against Loughgall United
who defeated the lads on penalties. So unlucky for the lads
who played excellent but it was not to be. This week the first
team are at home to Red Star where a win will see us playing
division two football next season and with the second team having
two matches to go it is either league winners or Division 3
next season as two wins will win the league but less than that
would see them finish 3rd at best, good luck to both teams.
well done U16s who won their league cup and it was much deserved
as they put in a lot of effort this season. Good luck to the
girls against Dromore on Monday night also lets get another
3 points. |
